Force Quit

  • Apple menu > Force Quit
  • Shortcut (important to memorize!): ⌘ + opt + esc

Activity Monitor

  • Can be launched from Spotlight.
  • Use to browse CPU and Memory items that are broken or hogging your resources.
  • Don't touch anything that looks important.
